I don’t have enough adjectives to describe this beautiful – and blustery – winter wedding at the Biltmore Estate. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, the Biltmore boasts 8,000 acres and several different wedding venues. I was actually nervous for Jillian + Rease’s big day, because I knew that the odds of me getting lost while driving around the estate were quite high lol. Thanks to a wonderful wedding planner who gave me detailed directions (thank you, Tamara!) and arriving the night before to scout and pre-drive the property, everything went smoothly!

When I arrived on Saturday morning, it was actually quite nippy outside and a thick layer of clouds had rolled in overnight. Inside, the girls popped champagne and poured mimosas while the guys kicked back with their bourbon. I love it when a wedding day timeline is built in such a way that everyone can relax while getting ready without being rushed!

Jillian’s details were so stunning. The combination of pearls, her grandmothers fur, and the styling elements that I added reminds me of old Hollywood glam!

The moment we had all been waiting for … Jillian showing up to her first look in a T-rex suit!! She had literally been hiding it in their closet for months and Rease had never even thought to look in the box haha. He was definitely surprised!!

It looks like Rease + Jillian have this portion of the estate to themselves, but it was actually crowded. I shot creatively, and edited out the people that I couldn’t hide behind them and the railing 😉 Rease kept pointing to the passerby’s and shouting, “Did you see her?! Look at my hot baby mama! Damnnnn, she looks good!! Don’t you think so?! Everyone look right here – I’m the luckiest man to be marrying this hot woman!” THE. BEST.

The absolute perfect setting for an intimate, evening ceremony
with candlelight!

Rease is a treasure and his quick wit and big personality makes him so fun to be around. But I’m still not sure if he pretended to lose his vows, or if he actually couldn’t find the piece of paper he stuck in his pocket. For a solid minute he was searching every single pocket while the rest of us laughed!

I can’t normally fit all the wedding guests into one photo. Covid changed a lot about their wedding day, but they rolled with the punches and made the best of it. I’m lucky to know such amazing people.
